“Uraan” means flight in Urdu. It represents our beliefs that every child has the potential to rise beyond circumstances. By providing them with education, we give them the wings to pursue their dreams and shape their own futures, no matter where they are born.
Our Mission
Uraan Foundation exists to expand access to quality education for underprivileged children in Pakistan, with a primary focus on young girls who face the greatest barriers to learning. Born from firsthand exposure to deep educational inequality, Uraan works at the grassroots level to remove structural obstacles: poverty, lack of infrastructure, poor nutrition, and gender-based exclusion that prevent children from attending and succeeding in school.
Through targeted interventions such as school infrastructure development, essential learning resources, nutrition programs, and fully funded scholarships, we aim to create safe, dignified, and motivating learning environments. Our mission is not only to increase enrolment in local government schools, but to ensure that education is meaningful, sustained, and capable of transforming lives.
Our Vision
Our vision is a Pakistan where no child is denied an education because of poverty, gender, or circumstance. We envision a future where girls are empowered through learning, communities are strengthened through opportunity, and education becomes the foundation for long-term social and economic mobility.
Uraan Foundation aspires to build a scalable, model education system, beginning with a state-of-the-art primary and secondary school for underprivileged girls. Leveraging modern teaching practices, technology, and AI-assisted learning. This model will be replicated across Pakistan until every child has access to a safe, high-quality education.
